A message from Braith

Hello! I am the brilliant Braith. I’m an energetic boy that is great with dogs of all sizes. My foster carer has even taken me to a dog friendly gym! It was great—I got to lie down while watching humans doing all these strange activities for ‘exercise’. Don’t they know they can just chase some birds in the backyard? It’s a better way to exercise, in my opinion.

Speaking of backyards, I really want my new home to have a backyard for me to run and play in. I am absolutely obsessed with birds, but my foster carer says I can’t run free at the park to chase them. I’m still learning how to ignore them while on my walks, but I think a backyard will help me explore and play in a way that is safe for me (and the birds, I guess).

I get separation anxiety when my foster carer isn’t around, so I need to live with a human who is home more often than not. I also think a dog sibling would be amazing to live with—but I can also go to a human-only home if they have lots of time and patience to continue working on my anxiety.

About Braith

Braith is full of life and energy, and is looking for a family that can work with his energy levels. Braith could walk all day long if you let him, so we think he’ll greatly benefit from having a yard where he can explore and play when he needs to.

Braith absolutely loves food! He is a clever boy and quickly learned that it isn’t very polite to surf the counters for food—but if he might still steal a quick treat for himself if you leave it lying around. As much as he loves food, Braith has learned how to wait patiently for his breakfast and dinner (other than an occasional sigh if it’s taking too long). He also understands ‘on your bed’ and is working on ‘trading’ if he ever happens to steal an item he shouldn’t have.

During his time in foster care, Braith has had the opportunity to meet dogs of all sizes—and he has been an absolute superstar with all of his introductions! He doesn’t quite know how to play with other dogs yet, but we think he will make an amazing adoptive brother and friend to any dogs that might be around his new home.

Braith suffers from separation anxiety when his foster carer isn’t around, so is happy to continue working with him on being left alone for longer periods of time. We think Braith will also greatly benefit from having another dog sibling to seek comfort in and learn from—but this isn’t essential if his family has an active lifestyle and is home more often than not. Braith has such a big personality and has a lot of love to give. He is looking for a family that can join him on his journey as he continues to learn and flourish a little more every day.

We invite applications from those who can provide Braith with a loving home and:

• Have no cats, small animals or pocket pets

• Have no children under 5

• Are home more often than not

• Have a home with a backyard

• May have a resident dog (pending introductions)
