About Peach
*In foster care in Stanmore, Sydney*
A gorgeous pup who loves a cuddle (she prefers to be the little spoon), Peach is ready to live her best life! She's quite shy at the moment and lacks some confidence due to her uneasy start in life, so she needs a gentle person or family who's willing to give her the time and space she needs to warm up and help her blossom.
Peach is non-confrontational by nature, and will often find a puppy with similar energy to play with at the dog park. (She adores a good wrestle!) Weighing in at approximately 15kg, her tiny 4.5kg foster brother bosses her around on a daily basis!
This precious girl can sit, stay and lay down, and is easily trained with treats and praise. She can be distracted sometimes so persistence is key. While she's still occasionally spooked by barking dogs and loud noises due to her time in the pound, Peach is a sweet, soft, loving snuggle bug who would flourish in a home with another friendly dog or two.
Like all Maggie's pets, Peach is microchipped, desexed and vaccinated.

MY IDEAL HOME: I prefer to have company at all times - whether it be human or canine in nature! A fairly active family would be perfect, as I tend to have long spurts of energetic play and I love it when you join in.
I'm excellent with kids, but I'm still working out how to interact with them so confident children with dog experience are preferred. Because I enjoy sniffing in the grass and rolling around so much, a backyard would also be ideal!
MY ENERGY LEVEL: Wrestling with other pups at the park is one of my very favourite things! - but after an hour or so, I'm ready for a nice long nap. I also love squeaky toys and play-fighting with my foster human. (I especially love gently chewing and licking on their hands or feets when I'm feeling cheeky!)
MY SUITABILITY TO CHILDREN: Great! Kids are fab! My confidence isn't 100% though, so I'm best matched with children who already have some experience with dogs like me.
MY SUITABILITY TO CATS AND DOGS: I LOVE other dogs! I'd definitely thrive in a home with another dog so I can have a best mate to grow up with and keep me company :)
I've sniffed a few cats and kept my distance if they didn't enjoy it. I'm not a fan of confrontation, so I'm happy to give cats their space.

Our foster carer will contact you when we receive your application to arrange a time for you to meet with their foster pet.
We want your adoption through Maggie's to be a good experience so we will occasionally suggest a different cat or dog that may suit your situation better and the needs of the individual pet.
All our pets leave for their new homes on a two week trial. At the end of the trial, we will transfer the microchip into your name and provide you with the pets vet certificates. Once you receive the Certificate of Identification from council, your adoption will be complete.
