About Zuva
If you are ready to add some fun to your life, then look no further than Zuva!
This sweet little girl found herself in a remote QLD pound in the lead up to Christmas and was given a sharp deadline. Thankfully we were able to secure her a flight to Sydney to save her life and she is ready to make the most of it with her new family. Zuva is very cuddly and affectionate with her people. She is keen to make friends with anyone that she meets and is very social. Zuva loves to play and likes all the toys - even toilet rolls are good toys in her eyes! She enjoys playing fetch and tug of war so is bound to bring plenty of fun times to her new family.
Zuva loves to make friends with other dogs. She is currently living with a large dog and enjoys playdates with others. When playing she loves to get stuck in and have a good rumble with similar sized dogs. Zuva would love a home with another playful medium to large sized dog. Otherwise, she will need to be given regular opportunity to socialise with other appropriate doggy friends, preferably through controlled playdates rather than dog parks with unknown dogs. Zuva is energetic so will need daily exercise and mental stimulation to keep her fulfilled. She will not be suitable to living in a unit as she needs a yard to run and play in.
This girl has the smarts and is great to train as she is very keen to please. Zuva has begun her basic training while in foster care and is already sitting on command and working on stay. She is still a pup who needs to continue her training and learn the boundaries in her new home but with consistency and clear instruction she comes along in leaps and bounds. Zuva’s new owners must be committed to giving her training and she would benefit from attending group classes. She is crate trained and sleeps there throughout the night without a peep. Going in the car, the hose and loud noises see her a little nervous but some reassurance from her carer makes her feel more comfortable quickly. Zuva is doing really well with tie up training at home and settles to wait patiently for her time to play again – she absolutely thrives with this type of structured training. Her toilet training is also going well and if the door is open, she will always go out.
We are looking for a dog experienced home where Zuva will be a part of the family and included in the daily activities and fun adventures. She will need a home with another active dog who can match her playstyle but who is already well trained and will be a good role model for her. Zuva will need to be allowed inside to be with the family and will need a bed to sleep on inside at night. She is quite jumpy around people as she is always keen to play and say hello, so she is probably best suited to older dog savvy children who can take part in her training with parental assistance. At the moment she is untested with other types of animals; however, with the right training and handlers she may be able to coexist with other species. Her family must be ready to have lots of fun with this girl as she will provide endless amounts of enjoyment and lots of cuddles as well.

Don't see a breed attached to one of our dogs? That's because we don't breed label dogs of unknown genetic history. We can't guess at breeds but that's okay, because we can tell you about the dog's individual personality, character, and behaviour.
