Apple is a gentle giant and shy girl, she is very curious and loves to have a good scratch which means she is willing to be brave and her confidence grows each day. Hiding just under the surface is the sweetest and most amazing hound girl you will ever meet. She has bucket loads of personality just waiting to pop out for that special person/family that is willing to give her the time and patience that she needs.

At nearly 10, this sweet girl is looking for her first ever home. She was released to us from a research facility where she was born and where she has lived until now. So you can understand why everything is a bit new to her.

Once she gets to know you, her personality comes out and shines! She is secretly confident, cheeky, bold and funny. She is super sweet, gentle and loves other dogs. She can be a bit bossy once she is settled, so she would prefer to be the only dog in the home so she doesn’t have to share her humans! Or she would be equally happy with gentle older dog who didn't mind letting her be the boss and who's humans are dog savvy with body language.

Apple is very clean and will toilet outside as long as she has access to. She needs a secure yard and cannot be walked off lead outside of the home environment. She is a typical scent hound and is lead by her nose, but can also spook if she nears an unfamiliar noise/sound (like any dog), so her safety is our number one priority.

She is ultimately lazy (like all foxhounds) and would enjoy a few light strolls but is equally happy to lounge around at home on a couch or soft comfy bed. She would suit a retired family or someone who works from home or is home most of the time to keep her company.
