About George - 13 Week Old Mixed Breed - On Trial 6/1/23
Meet George, an adorable 13 week old mixed breed puppy. George will grow into a large size dog.
George is very playful and loves to be around people and other dogs. In his foster home , he loves playing with the other 3 dogs in the home and we think he would love to go to a home with another dog so he has someone to play with.
George is very smart and he learns quickly. He knows how to sit for his food and he is learning how to walk on the leash. He gives excellent eye contact and he is keen to participate in further training.
George has a great temperament. He is independent enough to explore the backyard by himself and he does not cry if left outside. At night he sleeps on his dog bed in the kitchen, fenced in by baby gates. He does not cry at night and he settles very easily. George would be an excellent candidate for crate training.
George is making good progress with toilet training and this will need to be continued in his new home.
It's essential that George's new owners understand that as a puppy he will need lots of training and socialisation to grow into the best dog he can be. Having a young puppy takes patience. He likes to chew things , including your shoes! Please remember that having a dog is 15 year plus commitment. If you have the time and patience to train George , you will be rewarded by lots of love from this beautiful boy.
George's forever family will need to have an active lifestyle and understand that George will need daily exercise (at least 1 hour per day).
George's new home will need good fencing that is 6ft tall with no small gaps. Unfortunately, rural fencing (eg: mesh or wire) is not suitable.)
For more information on George, please contact his foster carer on their email siobhan@geraghty.com. George is in foster care in Newcastle, NSW. George's adoption fee is $700. As George is not yet desexed, he is only available for adoption to Newcastle, Lake Macquarie, Central Coast and Port Stephens because he will need to be returned to a DRN approved vet for desexing when he is approximately 5/6 months old. Please NO out of area applications.
