Hi everyone, I am Lovely Luna. Well, it’s just Luna actually, but I am super lovely!! My hoomans also call me Snoot, or Snooter!
I am 3 years old and am equal parts - gentle giant | lounge lizard | playful pup!
Sadly, my furever family’s circumstances have changed since they adopted me 18 months ago and they have needed to make the heart-breaking decision to help me find some new hoomans to dote on me.
I love my hooman family, especially the small humans – I live with three of them at the moment and am very bonded to them. In fact! I won’t walk with mum or dad on my own more than about 200m from home unless the little people come with us! I love to snooze on their beds and in return, I let them use me as a pillow. I am very content with children, and am not aggressive, but have given the occasional ‘warning’ growl to let them know I need some space.
I am also very lucky to live with another small fur friend, he is very teeny, just 7kg. We love to play together, and I am very gentle and loving towards him despite my size.
I love to play and zoom! I have impressive speed to show off! But it comes in short spurts and them I’m happy to ‘roach’ on the couch for the rest of the day. I’m very fond of my plush toys, especially those that squeak!
My hooman family often are out all day and that’s ok with me. I have my small fur-friend to keep me company, and I don’t mind lazing in my kennel, or on the lawn. I can get bored from time to time and have been known to dig the occasional toy, or chew things that shouldn’t have been left lying around (naughty small hoomans).
When I am out walking, I don’t mind a splash in some water! My hooman family often take me to places where I can get my toes wet and I also love the feel of the sand between my toes.
I can be a little shy when out and about, especially in crowded places, but am sure that I would get used to this over time. I’m overall, a pretty chilled out snooter.
About you
I am looking for a family with some small hoomans to play with and keep me company. I love the buzz and chaos of family life – the world just cruises around me and I go with the flow.
My new family would also ideally have another fur-family member to keep me company – especially for on those days where you can’t be home for hours at a time.
In return, you will get hours of enjoyment from me, giggling at the silly things I get up to, or funny positions I like to lie in (quite often with my tongue hanging out and eyes rolled back!).
I would love to meet you, so please reach out to the BTG Team to find out more and maybe come to meet me!
Adoption details
All BTG greyhounds are Desexed, C5 Vaccinated, Wormed & Heart Worm treated prior to adoption.
They have been fostered for a minimum of 8 weeks to allow maximum training and preparation for home life.
A post adoption trial period of 4 weeks is available to help families decide if the greyhound is the right one for them.
We also offer Foster to Adopt options for those who love the idea of teaching a greyhound in their home with the view to adopt it once it has "graduated" to Home Life status. This is a wonderful experience, to watch it blossom in your own home with your guidance and love. An ideal way to make sure this is the perfect dog for you.
