About Cherry
This extremely special lady is Cherry. She came to us from a rural NSW facility and her foster carer has described her as just the most beautiful and affectionate little lady and she has fitted in so quickly it is like she’s always been there!
Cherry quickly settled into the luxuries of foster care and enjoys nothing more than a snuggle with her people on the couch. She is very affectionate and lies down at your feet for a good belly scratch.
This girl is Mrs Social. She absolutely loves other dogs and has interacted really well with every dog she met in the facility and while in care. She loves playing and rumbling and has great doggy etiquette. She would love a home with another playful dog, but if there is no other dog in the home, she will need chances to socialise with other dogs in appropriate places, ideally in the form of play dates with other friendly and appropriate dogs rather than at dog off lead areas where the other dogs are unknowns.
She is great with people too! She enjoys meeting new people out and about and always has a big smile on her face. We feel she would be fine in a home with dog savvy children as long as they are ok with the bouncy nature of a young working dog mix. Coming from rural NSW, Sydney is all new to her and she is handling it very well, but her new owners should be committed to ongoing socialisation with other dogs, new places and people as she has quite a submissive nature and occasionally needs a little confidence boost.
At home cherry is lovely to have around. She is toilet trained and sleeps through the night in her crate. She is not a barker and enjoys the finer things in life like couch cuddles in the evening. Her foster carers have been slowly leaving her at home for longer periods of time, but she occasionally gets a bit cheeky and will find the rubbish bin or toilet rolls to make her own fun. She will need a home with a backyard as she enjoys having a play and a sniff in the sun during the day.
Cherry is extremely smart and loves to please. She is picking new things up quickly and is learning new things everyday. She is learning new basic commands while in care and would love an owner to learn new things with.
We just think cherry is such a special dog and deserves nothing but the best in a forever home. She has moderate energy levels and will need a decent daily outing and some mental stimulation to ensure she is satisfied. She is the type of dog who will be someone’s best friend and make every adventure a lot of fun. We are looking for a home where she will be either have someone home more often than not, or where there is another dog and her people have the time off work to settle her in properly. We are looking for a home where she will be taken out on lots of fun outings to beaches, on bush walks and many other doggy friendly places.
Cherry must be allowed inside as part of the family and as a special request allowed on the couch with her people as this is one of her favourite past times, snuggling up on the couch and snoozing the evening away. She will need to be provided a warm and comfy bed to sleep inside on of a night.
If you are looking for a loyal, affectionate and social girl and can provide a dog with an amazing home full of fun and adventure, then cherry might be your lady. Please fill in an adoption enquiry application from our Fetching Dogs website as the next step in the process.

Don't see a breed attached to one of our dogs? That's because we don't breed label dogs of unknown genetic history. We can't guess at breeds but that's okay, because we can tell you about the dog's individual personality, character, and behaviour.
