About Meiko
Ex-show dog, Meiko, is a looking for a new home where he can be the centre of the universe for his Poodle-loving owner.
Just 3.3 kgs, he's a petite chap who came into care as a result of a change in family circumstances and through no fault of his own.
Lively, active, adventurous and fun-loving, Meiko is a highly intelligent and somewhat independent boy. He enjoys investigating the nooks and crannies of his foster mum's garden. He also loves his daily walks and mooching around in the backyard with his canine foster brother, Hugo.
Although a little wary of strangers, Meiko quickly settled into his new foster home and happily sleeps all night long on his foster mum's bed. He's quite a cuddly chap once you get to know him.
Meiko is dog-friendly but untested with cats. He walks very well on a lead and is house-trained.
Meiko has just had a dental scale and clean and no extractions were required. His teeth are in very good condition for his age.
He would thrive in a home where he is the constant companion of his favourite human/s. He likes a quiet and peaceful environment, so would not suit a family with young children. He'd be happy to be an "only child". Prior experience with Poodles will be well regarded.
If you are interested in meeting Meiko and can offer him suitable, safe and loving forever home, PLEASE COMPLETE THE ONLINE ADOPTION APPLICATION at https://southerndownsark.com.au/apply-to-adopt/ and one of our volunteers will be in touch.
Meiko is available for interstate adoption, but only to applicants who are prepared to drive to Warwick to meet him.
Medical notes
Meiko was desexed on 27 December 2022.
He had a full dental (scale and polish, no extractions) on 30 December 2022 and all teeth are in very good condition for his age.
