About Mopsy
Say hello to Mopsy!
Mopsy is one of a kind!! She is a little shy at first but once she knows you want to have fun, you will have a gorgeous new playmate by your side.
Mopsy plays for hours! She enjoys racing around the house with her cheeky brother Benjamin and when playtime is over, she is happy to find you for a cuddle and a nap. Her purrs are a very good indication that she is happy and content.
This adorable little ball of fluff is happy to share her time with anyone once she is relaxed in their company. She is currently living with her equally adorable brother, other cats, the resident dog and young children and she loves them all!
We noticed shortly after her arrival that Mopsy is missing a rear paw. While this does not hold her back, it is something that will need medical attention when she is older. She has been examined by 3 reputable vets who all believe that there is an extremely high chance of Mopsy needing her leg amputated when she is older. The vets all agree that she is way too young to undergo such surgery at this time so this will be something her new owners will need to be prepared for when she is adopted.
It is also a non negotiable that Mopsy will need to live as an indoor only cat. She would have no way of protecting herself against other animals in the outside world. We are also in the process of trying to find/make some booties for Mopsy to protect the bottom of her leg from rubbing on the floor/carpet and anything we find will be passed over to the new owner but s she grows, these items will need to be modified and/or replaced.
Mopsy is currently living with her brother Benjamin who she completely adores. We would be thrilled if they were to be offered a home together. Please check out his Pet Rescue profile (ID#945909). Otherwise, Mopsy will need to head to a home with another young desexed cat for her to spend her days with. She is timid and a friendly, confident cat will be a great match for her in her new home.
Due to studies that are learning more about Single kitten syndrome, we are looking for homes for our young kittens where they will have a desexed feline companion.
Please have a look at the evidence online.
If you would like to know more about this adorable young girl, please send us an inquiry and we will be in touch shortly.
*Please only apply if you are ready to meet and adopt this pet now, and if all family members are in support of the adoption.*
Mopsy is currently in care in Lilydale, Vic
Medical notes
Mopsy is due for her booster vaccination on 5/1/23
There are notes in Mopsy's profile explaining that she will most likely need leg amputation when she is older. This will not be done while she is young so will need to be followed up by her new owners once she reaches maturity.

Adoption details
If you think one of our animals would be a good match for your home please email us and we will be in touch shortly after. We all work fulltime, have families and other commitments so your patience is appreciated.
We do require any other dogs in your home meeting our foster animal before they head home with you. This enables us to assess their compatibility and helps prevent them being returned and creating more confusion/insecurities for the foster animal.
All our animals are available for a two week trial with full refund. They are also covered by a lifetime return policy. If you ever find yourself unable to care for or keep your pet please contact us and they will come back into our care, this is a condition of our Adoptions.
