Hi there, my name’s Wonton. And just like the tasty treat I’m named after, I’ve got all kinds of goodness on the inside.

I am lovely, bubbly and confident, and when you take the time to get to know me, you’ll discover all kinds of sweetness! I’m so eager to please! In fact, I’m destined to become your new best friend! I love to lean on you and have my ears scratched.

I’m a big, strong boy and it’s probably best if you don’t have small children, as I may be a bit too bouncy for them. When it comes to getting along with other dogs, I’ve improved in leaps and bounds since joining my foster family! I’ve come such a long way – they’ve even taken me on holiday with them and say I was just the most perfect boy. I’ll still need you to help manage my behaviour a bit around some other dogs, but I promise to try my best.

I really enjoy walks, but I can still be a little strong on the leash when I’m excited. When I’m settled though, I walk well on a loose leash. So let’s work on this, ok? I promise I’ll do my best.

Since going into foster care I’ve found a real love of enrichment activities and I adore playing with toys. I’ve also learnt to use the doggy door and am really great at being alone. Need to go out? No problem; I’ll just chill.

I would love it if you could work with me and teach me how to be a pet and bring out all the good I have inside.

Our matchmakers go to greyt lengths to match each hound with the right family to make sure everyone's happy, and you'll become part of a wonderful rescue community with lots of support along the way!

All hounds are desexed, vaccinated, microchipped, flea and worm treated, and heartworm tested/treated. The adoption fee also includes our New Adopter Kit - collar, leash, muzzle and loads of other goodies to help you get your new hound settled into the family.
