Charlie

Charlie is a lovely golden oldie. At 8 years he still has plenty of enthusiasm for life! He maybe old but he is a little dynamo after house hold that is able to provide him with daily walks around the local streets and having the time to chill out with people. He enjoys a game of fetch and LOVES squeaky toys. He is food motivated and knows basic commands. He is a friendly dog that solicits attention from people (definitely the staffy in him). He enjoys a pat and thinks he is a lap dog (given the chance that's where he would sit all day long.) Charlie is able to relax independently and does not vocalize or bark much. Charlie would prefer a quiet household of mature humans only, so no small children please. He will be best going home with an older family as he can be a little bouncy and does not enjoy the kiddie hugs that little people tend to give. He will not be comfortable going to dog parks, but there are lots of other fun activities we can do together instead. Charlie will appreciate being an only dog, whilst he did live with another dog friend and during his time in shelter can be easily redirected with food when walking past dogs. He will benefit and grow into his own personality by being the only dog with in your household. Other dogs can make Charlie a bit tense and unsure, so it'd be best for him to be the only dog in the household. Charlie would like an owner that has had experience in owning dogs before to continue his training while out and about in the presence of other dogs Charlie is awaiting his furever family home and if you have read this far then the next step is to come into the shelter and meet this handsome boy!
