About Please give us a chance
PLEASE, GIVE US A CHANCE!
In rescue, we notice some cats get stuck, left behind or overlooked.
We’ve rescued them from death row, transported them hundreds of kilometres, placed them in loving foster homes and had their vet work done. Our dedicated foster carers get to know the cats and look after them like their own pets, take photos and write a biography. We then advertise them, hoping that once we show these cats to the world, their forever humans will snap them up and they’ll live happily ever after.
But with some of our cats, there is no happily ever after. We wait, the cats wait, their foster carers wait, but nothing…no inquiries, no meets, nobody wants them… maybe they are a bit shy, or don’t pose well for photos or don’t get along with other cats or need a little more time and patience. Sometimes people do come to meet them, but the cats freeze, or hide and don’t let the humans see how their beautiful true personalities.
These cats become our long termers, waiting and hoping for their forever home, while dozens more social or fluffy or younger cats get adopted in the meantime.
These weary cats and their foster carers have been waiting for months or even all year or more for their happily ever after.
It is our mission to try and find homes for some of our shy, older or overlooked cats before the end of 2022.
Our usual adoption fee for adult cats is $250. We charge this fee to help cover the vetwork costs the rescue pays. But we understand that many families are struggling with the cost of living and every dollar counts. While we think our cats are priceless, we have temporarily dropped the price on some of our long term or shy cats to $149 each. This special reduced price ends at midnight on 31 December 2022.
We ask that if you are considering adopting a cat, you take a look at this special, but overlooked, group of cats. Their beautiful personalities are waiting to shine. Will you be their special person who gives them a second chance?
Please message us if you would like more information about any of the cats listed in this post.
