About Aspin
Little Aspin was surrendered to BARC due to her jealousy of the other dog when receiving attention...
A lot of dogs do get jealous and it can be caused by changes like:
New schedule, new home and or neighbourhood, new pets in the home, and the list goes on.
This is something that can be managed with time and training...
Aspin loves to have a lot of attention and would love to be the only pet in the home, however she does get along with other dogs. Aspin would be an awesome dog to have and take for walks with your friends dogs but then go back home to hanging out on the couch with her humans.
NO cats or other small animals would be ideal.
Aspin would love the attention that kids give and would be okay living with kids over the age of 6 years! She would just adore sleeping on the end of the beds at night and they hanging out there until they got home from school...
Walks well on lead and does need to lose some weight so some block walks would be something that is needed.
Aspin has a little soft toy that is a pink piggy and she just loves it! So as long as you have a draw full of pink piggy's she will do fine...
To book a meet and greet with Aspin please phone 5441-2209 or email barcreception@bendigo.vic.gov.au . Due to the high volume of emails received, enquiries with a request for a specific appointment with phone details included will receive a response as priority over generic applications which state they are interested in meeting an animal.

Adoption details
BARC adoption officers will work with you to help you find a dog or cat that matches your needs, they will discuss things like yard fencing, exercise requirements, other pets and family members, lifestyle factors, and breed experience. To help make this as quick and easy as possible, we ask you complete and adoption questionnaire (located on our website, or you can complete on when you visit). This helps ensure that we are introducing you to the most suitable animals we have available.
We encourage all members of the household to attend a meet and greet with a pet prior to adopting an animal. If the animal being adopted is a dog, we will also require existing dogs in the household to attend the shelter as part of the meet and greet.
Holds can not be placed on animals over the phone, and can only be applied at the discretion of management.
This pet has been adopted and found love with its new family.
