Wensleydale is a gentle soul who just wants love! He has a beautiful temperament once he gets to know you, but does have bursts of puppy energy. Small kids, babies and humans are no problem for him as he makes friends with all. His favourite things to do are snuggle with you on the couch, do zoomies and eat some yummy treats.

Wensleydale needs a home with people that will love him unconditionally and be willing to give him all the cuddles he needs. Due to his rough life before coming into foster care, he has a large fear of other dogs and will need an experienced owner to continue to work on this with him. He has been attending SOS Obedience classes in Knox and will need to continue to attend this. It’s very important for Wensleydale’s new owners to be willing to work on this with him. He has come in leaps and bounds from where he started and is a whole new dog. Wensleydale is a very loving dog and needs to know he is also loved in return. He will be your perfect new family member if you welcome him with open arms.

If you have a calm resident dog that could be slowly introduced to Wensleydale, then that could work. He has shown a desire to have doggy friends, but needs to have the right dog to be introduced to as he doesn’t handle overly excited or energetic dogs very well.

He is a beautiful soul who will steal your heart from you and deserves the world.
