Hello everyone

I'm LEXIE, 16mths old staffy cross (I dont know what cross from particular angle it looks like I may have a Kelpie feature on my Paws) im tan on upper body but brown on my legs/paws..kelpie brown. I got a darker line on my back . I'm not as stocky as typical staffy. I'm 27kg.
Yes I'm fully grown.

Was dumped at a pound and rescued before they euthanise me - because no one wanted to get me out of there.
I know what you are wondering by now - what was my life before the pound , who was my original family etc. I'd be glad to tell you if only we speak the same language.

I'm friendly with other dogs - more on the shy side at first . And a bit scared of the over the top dogs that like to dominate etc . **NOT TESTED WITH CATS**
Everyone who have met me say I'm beautiful sweet friendly girl . They can't believe I'm still so young. I guess I'm an old soul.

As a very young girl I still like to play with other dogs that also has similar energy and vibe as I am . Occasionally I would need to be told to get a time out hahaha
I loveeee people and I feel safe whenever I'm around my human.

Been learning a lot of obedience skills since I'm in the care of my rescue group
I now walk well on leash *I knowww! Impressive for a young girl right ??! I'm very proud of this myself
Of course I'm toilet trained and house trained
I live mainly INDOOR with access to outdoor whenever I need to - I have a doggy door.
I know SIT, DROP, WAIT, SHAKE AND ROLL
as well as TOILET & BED commands.

Loveeee drinking from a water fountain lol or straight from the tap hehe hehe it's so much more fun that way
*yes that means I love water . The beach etc are so lovely and I love them
I don't jump on people *I've been told that's bad manner *sometimes I forget but my foster family will remind me
I'm not bothered by thunder or the vacuum cleaner
I sleep through the night in the lounge . *6 weeks ago I wouldn't be able to sleep alone - now I'm confident enough to sleep in the lounge.

I also nap between 12 pm to 3 pm.
Dinner is usually 5 pm then family lounge time with my foster family and Kobe my mastiff foster brother
My bed time is 9pm normally.

I get walked/exercised - twice a day around 30min to 45min with 5 to 10 mins training between that. I love traveling in the car. We have been to Wodonga and back for a day trip and I was excellent all the way through.

As I am still 16mths I need someone that can give me good leadership - I'm still learning a lot of things and my teenage brain gets distracted sometimes

After 6 weeks with my foster family I am now able to just do my own thing at home ie play with my Kong, just sit in the lounge looking out the window - play with my foster brother etc.
My confidence has improved a lot.

My QUIRKS
I'm a talker so if I need to go out to do toilet I'll bark near the door
If I'm complaining about something ie whenever im being stubborn or scared about something I'll bark

I am now much better and understand boundaries a lot more thanks to my foster family that really put a lot of love and patience into teaching me a lot of things
But more importantly my foster brother - KOBE 8yo mastiff has been wonderfully patience with me and through him I learned so much on how to be a calm confidence girl.

Being moved around so much at such a young age certainly has made be scared of being abandoned / let go again so I really need My FOREVER FAMILY to really want to fight for me.

One that will give me 2 to 3 weeks to settle - I NEED time to settle in a new environment. PLEASE don't expect me to be your perfect dog in 2 to 3 days

I need A family that loves & experienced with mixed breed staffy
One that has the time and patience to continue my training and learning
One that will allow me the time to settle in a new environment and give me the guidance and assurance I need .

No Cats cause I've never been tested with cats
If you have kids I prefer them to be dog savy and experienced
One that will incld me as a part of the family.
If you have a resident dog I'm best with older more mature calm friendly dog. That way I can learn from him/her.

Because I'm still young I need my forever family to be able to commit to my long term training and character development. This is important not only to ensure I grow up to be a well balanced dog but also to train my forever humans on how to teach me through positive reinforcement. I'm food motivated so easy to train but I don't want to be tought using force or punishment .
I will give you so much love and companionship in return. Afterall, I'm a very lovable girl.

I'm not suited for someone that works full time and will leave me at home for 8 to 10 hours everyday.
My transition period is 3 weeks and so I need a family that will have the time to help me get settled in my new environment and get to know my new family.
I'd be scared and confused and not myself at all the first week or two so please be patient with me . I'm worth it I promise you.

PS I don't have any skin issues or allergies. I'm currently on a mix diet between raw and premium kibbles like BlackHawk or Meals for Mutts.
