About Rudolph
Cute puppy alert!
Rudolph is the full package – he has the looks, personality and temperament. This sweet boy has a beautiful coat and handsome markings. He is very friendly with everyone that he meets and is more than happy to collect all the pats on offer. Rudolph is affectionate and very cuddly with his foster carer. He is a well-balanced pup though who is already showing some independence as he will happily take himself off to his bed for a nap by himself and is fine to be left in a crate/pen without fuss if he has some toys to play with. Rudolph enjoys spending time in the yard, lying on the grass or exploring all the nooks and crannies.
While in foster care, he has been living with one of his brothers and has also met some other friendly dogs. He has been good with all other dogs he has met and is inquisitive but also knows when to back away. As with any puppy, it is important that he is given positive socialisation experiences with other dogs, ideally in the form of play dates with other friendly and appropriate dogs rather than at dog off lead areas where the other dogs are unknowns. Rudolph is expected to grow into a large dog who will require daily exercise and mental stimulation to keep him happy and healthy throughout his life.
Rudolph is a smart puppy who has begun basic training with his foster carer. He is sleeping through the night and very good in the car. Walking on a leash is going well but sometimes he thinks the leash is a fun toy to play with. Rudolph is progressing well with his toilet training and does know to go outside but like any puppy his new owners need to be ready to continue to work through this. It is imperative that his new owners are committed to his ongoing training. He will need to be trained beyond puppy school to ensure he is a well mannered dog due to his expected adult size (over 30kg).
We are looking for a dog experienced home for Rudolph where he will be a part of the family and included in the daily activities. He will need a home with another friendly dog and/or where someone is home more often than not, particularly while he builds up more independence. Rudolph should be allowed inside to be with the family and will need to have a bed to sleep on inside at night. He has not met any children while in foster care, but if parents are well prepared to manage typical puppy behaviours around children, then he is expected to be fine to live with dog savvy children used to large breed dogs. The same situation applies to other species of pets. Rudolph will be looking for a home with a secure yard and where he will be taken on regular outings. This beautiful boy would also say that cuddle time with his new owners is a must as well!
If you would like to make gorgeous Rudolph a part of your family then please apply by completing a Dog Adoption Enquiry form on the Fetching Dogs website as the first step. Please include plenty of details about who is in your household and your previous dog experience.

Don't see a breed attached to one of our dogs? That's because we don't breed label dogs of unknown genetic history. We can't guess at breeds but that's okay, because we can tell you about the dog's individual personality, character, and behaviour.
