Georgie is a sweet little lady who is lacking in self confidence. She is a sensitive little poppet who is looking for a family who will continue to help her become independent and confident in day to day life.

Georgie is good with dogs and cats and loves being with people. Georgie hasn’t shown a lot of interest in playing since being in care, though she does follow for foster friends around the yard and watches them play.
She is good on the lead and loves going for a walk with her foster friends.

Georgie can be very vocal at times when she is anxious or when she can see you though cannot get to you. This has improved since coming into care though she will need someone committed to her ongoing training to help prevent this behaviour getting worse. She may also need anxiety medication in the future if training alone isn’t enough.

We have started crate training Georgie and she will happily sleep in the crate at night or happily stay outside with her foster friends.
Georgie has only had one accident inside since coming into care, and she doesn’t like going out in the rain or on wet grass, so some further toilet training will be needed.

Georgie enjoys the company of another dog and gains confidence from them. Because of this, Georgie would be best suited to a home with another doggy companion.

Georgie does have a long coat that will require regular grooming and clipping every 2-3 months for life. Please keep this in mind before applying to adopt.
