About Volvo
Volvo is best described as Mr Happy! He is always wagging his tail and loves to get pats and belly rubs. Volvo, true to his name, thoroughly enjoys tagging along with his foster carers in the car and often goes to work driving around in the truck because he loves it so much. He tends to snooze on the job in the truck though and often demands some pats along the way! Volvo is a true companion and a very loyal little dog who loves to be around his people. He is easily kept content with some affection, a comfy bed, a sunny spot for sunbaking and some grass to roll around in.
Volvo is a fairly easy-going character. He did take a bit of time to build his confidence when he first arrived at his foster home but lots of attention and some soft words had him feeling comfortable in no time. Even though he loves lots of company, Volvo has gotten used to being home alone when his foster carers have been out for short periods of time. They are always greeted by much excitement when they get back. Although he seems fine around other dogs and has previously lived with another dog, we are looking for an only dog home for Volvo where he can enjoy his retirement years in peace and get all the attention to himself. One of his previous owners passed away and he now deserves to get all the love and care back that he gave to them.
Volvo is extremely well behaved around the home. He knows basic commands such as sit, stay and up/down. He is toilet trained and it only took him 5 minutes to be comfortable with using the doggie door in his foster home. At night Volvo is sleeping on the end of his foster carers bed and that is where you will find him during the day if he’s not by your side or sunbaking in the yard. Being the loyal little companion that he is, Volvo is well-behaved off lead for walks at a quiet park nearby and doesn’t stray far from his carers. He is looking for a home with a quieter lifestyle with some nice strolls rather than busy dog off-lead environments.
We are looking for a dog savvy home for Volvo where he will be around his owners most of the time as this is what makes him happiest. He is only suitable as an only pet home where he can have all of the attention for himself but is fine to be walked past other dogs out and about and would be fine meeting the odd well-behaved friend or family member’s dog in a controlled setting. Volvo has met children while in foster care and he was fine with them but was more than happy for them to leave and go back home to their parents. He really just wants a nice quiet, adult only home to live out the rest of his years. If his new owners were planning on caravanning around, he would have no problem tagging along for the fun though. Regardless, his new owners will always be met by his waggy tail, be forced to dish out pats and belly rubs and will always have a loving companion by their side.

Don't see a breed attached to one of our dogs? That's because we don't breed label dogs of unknown genetic history. We can't guess at breeds but that's okay, because we can tell you about the dog's individual personality, character, and behaviour.
