Hi, my name is Luna. Sadly, I need a new home due to my family circumstances changing.
I’m a lovely little pedigree girl who knows how to sit, drop, shake, high 5, speak and dance. I’ve completed level 2 at obedience school, but my new owners would benefit with taking me back to learn leadership skills.
Sadly, I was attacked by 2 large dogs when I was young which has made me defensive if dogs bark or rush at me. So going back to obedience school will help me gain trust and confidence. Being in a controlled environment with other dogs around me is best for me. I’m fine walking past other dogs whilst out on my walks, I just get scared if they rush up at me or bark at me.
A one-on-one training session will help my new owners learn how to make me feel safe if other dogs rush at me. This can be arranged by SRV when a suitable owner is matched with me.
Please don't let my need of gaining confidence around other dogs put you off.
I love human companionship, I’m very active and have high energy levels. I pulled on the harness whilst being assessed, a collar would be better for me, my current owner knows how to make me heal, I’m keen to please, so I will behave with my new owners as well. I can sometimes jump up on people when I get excited so I need to be taught not to, therefore I should only live with older children or children that can handle a tiny little girl like me.
I’m house-trained but I get excited when people come to the door and sometimes, I pee myself, it’s no doubt because I’ve been left for long hours during the day which I don’t like because I get lonely, even though I’ve got the company of another dog.
I wasn’t interested in playing with toys whilst being assessed but this will no doubt change when I’m with my new family. I currently live with another dog who I’m fine with, but I was raised with him so living with a strange dog just won’t work.
So, if you think you can offer me a good forever home where you’ll be able to give me all the above in return, I will give you all the love and loyalty you could ask for! Please go to Stafford Rescue Victoria’s website where you will find the Adoption Application. Please make sure you read all the information on the Adoption page, as well as the links at the bottom https://staffordrescuevictoria.org.au/adoption-process/

Needs healthy grain free diet. Can be discussed when suitable family has been matched with Luna.
