About Griffin
Please only apply for this greyhound if you have:
- A family who can reciprocate all the love Griff will give.
- Part-time workers or full-time workers with a doggie companion
Introducing Griffin or otherwise affectionately known as “Griff”. He is a gentle, very affectionate, and handsome boy who only wants to snuggle up to his humans. Griff has lived as a pet, but through a change of circumstances, he now needs a new loving home – and we know this delightful boy so deserves that.
He currently lives with a greyhound foster brother and they get on really well, to the point Griff doesn’t object even when his foster brother decides to share his comfy bed. Griff has socialised on many occasions with a Rottweiler, a Coolie and many other greyhounds. He is still learning about small dogs so a home without small dogs would be ideal for Griff. Otherwise, he is a perfect “gentleman” in the hound world. Griff is easy to train as he is very food motivated.
Griff just loves going out in the car (which he jumps in and out of on his own) and going for walks. He greets everyone with a wag of his tail hoping to score a pat. Being a true gentleman, he walks very well on the lead. During our walks Griff sports a harness – more comfortable for him and certainly gives him that distinguished look.
He is not one to do regular zoomies but after getting egged on by his foster brother he did have a very short lived zoomy just for the fun of it all. He doesn’t have any sleep startle, resource guarding, food guarding and can be left on his own for a few hours. He would be an ideal companion for retired people, part-time workers, families with kids 5+ years old or a full-time worker who already owns a medium/large dog. Griff is very inquisitive so a secure yard is a must.
Griff is just hoping Santa has his “furever” family wrapped up and ready to give to him for Xmas.
[Note: Under Victorian Law greyhounds must be on-leash at all times in public areas, including in off-leash parks or ovals]
