About Calypso
Hi, my name is Calypso! I came from the Riverland after being born to a mum who was left behind when her owner moved away. My siblings and I traveled all the way to a rescuer in Christie Downs and then went all the way to foster care in Kapunda. I'm ready for my new home now. I'm hoping I'll find one soon!
I'm an affectionate girl who loves a booty scratch. I'll brush myself up against you while purring away with my tail pointed straight across my back. I think I'm a bit of a parrot as I love climbing onto your shoulder to hang out and be involved in what you're doing! I love playing with my siblings, wand toys, and whatever I can get my little paws on! I'm everything you could want in a kitten!
My dream home is one that has a shoulder for me to climb on, plenty of toys for me to play with, and tons of time to spend with me!
Calypso has been:
- Tried with cats and is great with them
- Untried with children
- Untried with dogs

Calypso is approximately 10 weeks old (DOB: 7/10/22) and her adoption fee of $200 includes:
- Desexing
- 1st Vaccination
- Microchipping
- Parasite treatments up until the date of adoption
- Litter training
- Socialisation
- An adoption pack with some of their current food, a carrier blanket, a set of toys, and other goodies to get her started.
Calypso is available to meet at her foster carer's home in Kapunda (however, we will consider transport for the right home).

Adoption details
Kittens and cats are adopted through their foster homes. Potential adopters are encouraged to contact Hisses to Purrs by phone, email or Facebook to arrange a meet and greet with the kitten they are interested in.
All kittens and cats are microchipped, vaccinated, desexed and parasite treated prior to adoption. There are no exceptions to this rule.
Pre-adoptions are available for adopters who wish to adopt a specific kitten or cat who has not reached weight for desexing, or who are awaiting their vet appointment. A minimum deposit can be made to pre-adopt a kitten awaiting their vet work. Kittens and cats remain in the care of Hisses to Purrs until desexing has occurred and in the case of female kittens and cats, until 5 days after desexing to give them time to heal.
All kittens and cats adopted through us must be kept indoors or have access to a secure cat enclosure. This is non-negotiable for the safety and health of our kittens and cats.
