About Ted
Hi there. My name is Ted. My foster family also calls me Big Ted, or Teddy Bear.
I was once a stray, and now I’m very fortunate to have been given a second chance in life. I am a totally lovable, gentle, calm boy with all round rugged good looks. I’m a very mature 12 years old, which means that I’m far from being a challenging pup, but there’s nothing old and frail about me yet either. I’ve got a bit of playfulness in me yet. What a catch I am!
In the time that I have been in foster care I have shown my good manners with meal times, demonstrated that I’m gentle on a lead, and will come when my name is called. I sleep in a kennel in the back porch area and as long as I have lots of excellent protection from all kinds of weather, then that’s fine with me. You see…. I’m not keen on coming indoors. If you want to make the effort though, I’m sure I could adjust to the creature comforts of being inside with my family. I don’t take any notice of the chooks, I’m fine with cats, pretty much ignore the sheep and cows! My foster dog siblings and I get on brilliantly. One of my greatest joys is playing with the human grandchildren here. They are only little, but they like me heaps and I like them too.
Just because I’m happy to be outside doesn’t mean that I’m happy to be left alone all the time. I simply adore human interaction. I am a super lover, and the more love I can give and receive the better. I would be really well suited to someone who really is looking for a dedicated companion. I am just so good at that. With me out and about with you, you’d never feel alone because I am great ‘best mate’ material.
Now that you have read all about me, you will realise that I am pretty much perfect. Open disclosure: I chew up my beds. Sorry. I can’t help myself. This can be dealt with, but I advise against doing what silly foster mum did. She bought me two nice beds and now they are in little pieces all over the yard!
Anyway, if you think that you have room in your life to make my retirement all that foster mum thinks I deserve, please apply.
Lots of love
Ted. xx
Ted is located in VIC.
Adoption details
To apply to adopt a dog from Dogs4Jobs, you must firstly complete our adoptions application form in full at http://dogs4jobs.com.au/adoption-form/.
You can also write out your answers and email them to dogs@dogs4jobs.com.au
*Please note, due to the high volume of applications received, we will not respond to Petrescue chat messages, or enquiries to adopt a dog. You must complete our adoptions form to be considered for the dog or pup, and we will respond to this form via our email.
We will then request to complete a yard check, or for you to send in photos of your yard showing the fencing, space, shelter and any hazards etc, to confirm it is safe and secure, as well as adequate space for a working breed dog.
Following this, we will then put you in touch with the dog/s foster carer/s that you are interested in, to chat further over the phone, about whether the dog is a good fit for your family, and vice versa. We are searching for the perfect match for each dog and their needs. A meet and greet can be arranged if both parties wish to proceed, and we also offer interstate adoption on all of our dogs.
