Hi, I’m Piper and I’m looking for a nice home to share with humans. I’m a wonderful size for a companion, not too small and not too big, just a petite 14kgs with a gorgeous face and beautiful coloring. I’m a very attractive girl!
My foster mum tells everyone I’m a real sweetheart, with a lovely nature and very smart.
My foster mum also thinks I'm a star as I know how to let myself out of my doggie door for toileting. If the unusual happens and I do happen to get caught out at night, I will wake her to let me out, although this has only happened a few times.
I'm a very good girl; I don't beg for food and I wait patiently while it's being prepared and don't even mooch for my human's food. I'm a sweet natured doggie and love my humans but not so fond of other dogs and am untested with cats; so perhaps I’m best as an only pet.
I do have a little bit of separation anxiety sometimes when my foster mum goes out, as I'm still frightened of being left again. Since my foster mum started leaving me with a food toy and I've learnt she always come back, I’m a lot happier now but I would better suit a family where someone is home more often than not.
Did I mention that one of my best advantages is that I rarely bark and if I do, it's only to protect my foster mum’s property because someone has come too close to my human's house. I stop as soon as I'm told to because I know everything is OK.
I love to walk every day and smell absolutely everything while enjoying the walk. I can get a bit carried away because I am very strong willed about walking. I get very excited, so mum is teaching me to calm down and chill out. I'm trying very hard to learn and please mum, but I will probably need a human who is strong and will continue my socialisation in the big wide world in a gentle and supportive way, and not overwhelm me.
I will also need a secure yard with 5–6-foot fences to keep me nice and safe.
Please send in an application if you are interested in making me a part of your life, my foster mum is happy to answer any questions.
