Watch out for this one! Imara will charm your socks off – and all your neighbours and friends too. Imara is quite simply a bundle of boundless love. She looooves her humans and likes nothing better than to snooze anywhere in close proximity to your feet (under your desk while you work from home) - knowing that she is safe and secure. She is also quite the hypnotiser and you may well find yourself giving long belly rubs while she rolls around in delight. When it is time for play, however, she lets her exuberant self loose and she can be seen doing zoomies galore and gigantic leaps for joy.
Imara is looking for a loving family who will be able to give her that same level of boundless love in return - and to help her to reign in her enthusiasm from time to time. Particularly, she will need a little help learning to spend some time apart from her humans. Currently, her love is so boundless and her creativity and cleverness so adept, that she will move mountains and leap to great heights (over fences) in order to find you. Fortunately, she has been known to go straight to neighbours doors and shadow them lovingly until you return. She will need a home with a secure backyard and high fences.
Her personality will thrive and blossom even more if she has another doggo or two for companion, this would also assist to ease her loneliness when you are not able to be by her side, she loves to play and wrestle with other dogs (however is also good at stepping back when the other dog has had enough). She also loves entertaining herself with her toys and chew treats when her humans are busy with other tasks.
Whilst her loving and loyal personality will win the hearts of any children – she will still need help growing her awareness of her own strength. Older children will be more able to handle her big paw hugs. She's still very young and is already doing incredibly well with some basic training, especially around not tugging too much on her lead, stopping something cheeky when she hear's the word no, and is great at recall when she hears her name. She's currently living with 4 cats who all have very different personalities, 2 of them have made it clear they want their space, and the other 2 have already gotten use to her (so much that she stood back like a gentle-lady while one of the cats got into her food) and she's been very gentle with the cats and their space. Sometimes when she's extra happy she talks a bit, and it's the cutest quiet talk I've ever heard. She is also warming up to getting into the car on her own as she learns the car is for going to fun places.
