About Tinsel
Black beauty is here!
Tinsel has such a soft velvety coat that you could stroke all day. She is a very sweet puppy with a beautiful nature. Tinsel enjoys getting pats and attention from people and is happy to take cuddles from anyone who will offer them. She also enjoys playing with toys and will shake her soft toys and play tug of war. Tinsel enjoys exploring around the yard and will investigate behind things and find interesting things to play with. She jumped straight into a sand pit the other day to see what that weird yellow stuff was. Once she is all tired out, she is happy to find her bed and curl up for a well-deserved nap.
While in care, she has been with one of her siblings and living with a couple of large adult dogs. Tinsel enjoys rumbling with her sister and after getting to know the big dogs, she will attempt to play with them too. As she is still a young pup, it is important that her socialisation with other dogs continues, and she has positive interactions in controlled environments (like play dates with friends dogs rather than off-leash areas) while she builds up her confidence. As she grows, she will need daily exercise and mental stimulation to keep her happy and healthy.
Tinsel has begun her basic training while in foster care. She is learning to walk on a lead and does a lovely sit which she will wait patiently in until she gets her treat. Tinsel is food motivated, relatively calm for a puppy and keen to learn. In her new home, her owners will need to be committed to her toilet training and building her independence to sleep without her sister, for which we would recommend crate training. Her new owners will need to be committed to continuing her training throughout her youth and she should be taken to group classes beyond puppy school as part of this.
We are looking for a dog experienced home where Tinsel will be a part of the family and included in the daily activities and outings. She will need a home with another friendly dog and/or where someone is home more often than not. Tinsel travels well in the car, should be allowed inside to be with the family and will need a bed inside to sleep on at night. She has not been exposed to cats or pocket pets but with the correct guidance she should be able to live harmoniously with other species. Tinsel has met a toddler while in care and was good with him besides a little mouthing. If there are children in the home, parents would need to have the time and energy to manage these types of typical puppy behaviours. Tinsel is such a beautiful and sweet puppy who has the ability to slot into a range of homes.

Don't see a breed attached to one of our dogs? That's because we don't breed label dogs of unknown genetic history. We can't guess at breeds but that's okay, because we can tell you about the dog's individual personality, character, and behaviour.
