About Hugo
Hugo is an absolute lap dog and would be ideally suited to any size home or yard as long as his person can spend lots of quality time with him.
Hugo would make an excellent match for an older owner who wants a smaller inside dog to keep them company. He is a very gentle soul and enjoys watching television on the couch with his person.
Hugo is very well attuned to his humans. If you're not feeling your best, Hugo will sense it and come to sit or lay with you until you feel better. He travels well in the car, walks well on a lead, and is very well toilet trained. Hugo also has an adorable quirk - if he's had a big day and is tired, he'll go and put himself to bed!
He loves walks, especially at the beach, where he will happily go in for a swim or enjoy walking along the water's edge. While Hugo is friendly with other dogs when out on walks, he would much rather be someone's one and only at home. He does currently live with a cat, so perhaps a home with a dog-confident cat would be ok for this lovely boy!
He also has a strong prey drive when it comes to wildlife, so he needs secure fencing around his yard with no gaps underneath to keep him safe and prevent any wildlife visitors from coming in.
Darling Hugo is ready to meet you and get started on this next wonderful chapter in his life!

Adoption details
When enquiring about a pet listed with Home2Home, your enquiry goes directly to the pet’s owner - the person who knows them best!
It’s a great opportunity to ask any questions you may have about the pet, including its likes and dislikes, needs, and how it may fit into your lifestyle and family.
From here, the owner will be in touch with you to chat a bit more about their pet, and if they feel your home is the best fit, they will arrange a ‘meet and greet’ for you all to get to know each other.
Should this prove successful, arrangements will be made for the pet to move straight from its current home into yours upon payment of the adoption fee.
The adoption fee is paid directly to PetRescue (via a secure payment link), and assists us to continue to run and develop programs to assist pet owners, just like Home2Home.
Change of Ownership paperwork will be completed, vetwork history will be provided and your new family member will be snuggled on your couch in no time!
