About Grommit
Grommit is a sweet and friendly pup who loves cuddles and snuggles. He loves to play with balls and chew toys, especially his Kongs. He is an active dog who loves to run around in the sprinkler, but he isn't too keen on swimming at the beach. Grommit would make a perfect lap dog, as he loves to be in physical contact with his favourite people and is always up for being part of whatever you're doing.
Darling Grommit is quite a sensitive pup and his can be scared around loud noises and lots of excitement. Therefore the ideal home for Grommit would be located either in the urban fringe or a rural area away from high-traffic areas and other sources of loud noise. He needs owners who love having an inside dog and ideally, already have a confident female dog or tolerant male dog who can show Grommit how to be brave when his owners are not around.
Grommit would benefit from being with people who are home often so that he doesn't become anxious when left alone, however with a home environment set up for success, full-time workers could still be an option for little Grommit. To ensure he feels safe, it's important that Grommit has a 'safe bunker' space inside close to where the family sleep, such as a crate with blankets over it for some extra privacy. If there are children in the home, they must be the calm and kind type that will be old enough to recognise when Grommit needs a little space.
Even though he is a sensitive soul Grommit would still likely enjoy going out for walks and adventures to somewhere that can become familiar and enjoyable to him. The most ideal spots would be those where he won't feel overwhelmed by stressors such as busy roads or parks with lots of other people and dogs.
If you've got a calm and relaxed home, and a heart full of love and understanding, then Grommit would be the perfect companion! He is a genuine sweetheart that is looking for a great human to help him feel safe and be his cuddle buddy!

Adoption details
When enquiring about a pet listed with Home2Home, your enquiry goes directly to the pet’s owner - the person who knows them best!
It’s a great opportunity to ask any questions you may have about the pet, including its likes and dislikes, needs, and how it may fit into your lifestyle and family.
From here, the owner will be in touch with you to chat a bit more about their pet, and if they feel your home is the best fit, they will arrange a ‘meet and greet’ for you all to get to know each other.
Should this prove successful, arrangements will be made for the pet to move straight from its current home into yours upon payment of the adoption fee.
The adoption fee is paid directly to PetRescue (via a secure payment link), and assists us to continue to run and develop programs to assist pet owners, just like Home2Home.
Change of Ownership paperwork will be completed, vetwork history will be provided and your new family member will be snuggled on your couch in no time!
