About Mars
Mars is a beautiful ginger boy with a dark ginger coat. He is a placid boy who can’t get enough cuddles!
He loves climbing so a fun cat tree is a must! He loves playing with toys and snuggling into fluffy blankets.
He’s not so keen on the scary sound plastic bags make!
Mars loves to find cosy hiding spots like cupboards and under the bed. He is super affectionate and loves curling up on the couch.
Mars was born in care so is very confident around adults, kids and other cats. He hasn’t met a dog yet, but with his easy going personality, we’re sure he’d be ok with a slow introduction.
Mars will suit many types of homes. As long as he has a no to play in and access to your bed at night, he’ll be happy.
Mars has had all vet work and is ready to go to his new home now!
Adoption details
ADOPTION PROCESS:
1. An Adoption enquiry should be made via
https://form.jotform.com/shellys.place.rescue/adoption-enquiry
2. Once your application has been received, one of our volunteers will contact you for a phone interview. This is to determine whether one of our cats or kittens will be a good fit for your home. We all want long-term success in placing rescue animals, so finding the best fit for the animal AND the family is very important.
3. 'Meet & Greet' with the animal and their carer will then take place if the application is approved.
4. A Property check will take place via a video call (due to Covid restrictions). Once this has been successfully completed, adoption paperwork finalised and the adoption donation processed, the pet can be collected from foster care.
5. A 14 day settling-in period commences once the animal has been collected from foster care.
6. Adoption is finalised after 14 days. Paperwork/records will be included in an adoption pack.
7. All animals for adoption are kept up to date with vet work until the date of adoption. The pet will be rehomed desexed, vaccinated, microchipped and treated monthly for fleas and intestinal worms. Once the adoption is finalised, the new owners are responsible for all vaccinations and preventative treatments.
As we are run entirely of volunteers we endeavour to respond to your enquiry as soon as we can. Your patience is greatly appreciated.
PLEASE NOTE: We are unable to hold any animals. Please only apply if you are ready to adopt now.
