About Rocket
Rocket is a black kitten who is quiet and confident. He’s got the biggest paws you e ever seen and gorgeous, sleek black fur.
Rocket loves playing with toys and tissues, bottle caps- anything that can be pawed at really! He is not a fan of the mop 😹
Rocket loves playing with his siblings and has a big brother attitude. He’s very competitive!
When the play session is over he loves to chill out in the sun on the windowsill, watching the world go by. He loves to be close to people too, so a warm lap is a favourite spot.
Rocket was born in care so is very confident around adults, kids and other cats. He hasn’t met a dog yet, but with his easy going personality, we’re sure he’d be ok with a slow introduction.
Rocket will suit many types of homes. As long as he has loads of toys, a sunny window and a cosy lap, he’ll be happy!
Age: 12 weeks
Health: desexed, microchipped and first vaccination

Adoption details
ADOPTION PROCESS:
1. An Adoption enquiry should be made via
https://form.jotform.com/shellys.place.rescue/adoption-enquiry
2. Once your application has been received, one of our volunteers will contact you for a phone interview. This is to determine whether one of our cats or kittens will be a good fit for your home. We all want long-term success in placing rescue animals, so finding the best fit for the animal AND the family is very important.
3. 'Meet & Greet' with the animal and their carer will then take place if the application is approved.
4. A Property check will take place via a video call (due to Covid restrictions). Once this has been successfully completed, adoption paperwork finalised and the adoption donation processed, the pet can be collected from foster care.
5. A 14 day settling-in period commences once the animal has been collected from foster care.
6. Adoption is finalised after 14 days. Paperwork/records will be included in an adoption pack.
7. All animals for adoption are kept up to date with vet work until the date of adoption. The pet will be rehomed desexed, vaccinated, microchipped and treated monthly for fleas and intestinal worms. Once the adoption is finalised, the new owners are responsible for all vaccinations and preventative treatments.
As we are run entirely of volunteers we endeavour to respond to your enquiry as soon as we can. Your patience is greatly appreciated.
PLEASE NOTE: We are unable to hold any animals. Please only apply if you are ready to adopt now.
