About Astra
Kitten’s name: Astra
Age: 12 weeks
3 words to describe them: cheeky, bold, spoilt
Astra is a female ginger kitten with the softest pale, ginger coat you’ve ever felt, and bright amber eyes. She is a calm, cuddly kitten with a cheeky side who loves to explore every inch of the house.
She loves to be spoilt with comfy blankets and treats, and does NOT like waiting for her dinner!
Astra loves playing with her siblings and has a serious case of FOMO- Fear Of Missing Out! If they start a play session, she is in!
Once she’s all worn out from her play, she loves to curl up on a soft blanket, the couch or a snuggly jumper that you are wearing.
Astra was born in care so is very confident around adults, kids and other cats. She hasn’t met a dog yet, but with her easy going personality, we’re sure she’d be ok with a slow introduction.
Astra will suit many types of homes. As long as she has a omewhere with fluffy blankets or a warm small space in the middle of the entertainment unit, she’ll be happy.
Age: 12 weeks
Health: desexed, microchipped and first vaccination
Location: Hillsdale

Adoption details
ADOPTION PROCESS:
1. An Adoption enquiry should be made via
https://form.jotform.com/shellys.place.rescue/adoption-enquiry
2. Once your application has been received, one of our volunteers will contact you for a phone interview. This is to determine whether one of our cats or kittens will be a good fit for your home. We all want long-term success in placing rescue animals, so finding the best fit for the animal AND the family is very important.
3. 'Meet & Greet' with the animal and their carer will then take place if the application is approved.
4. A Property check will take place via a video call (due to Covid restrictions). Once this has been successfully completed, adoption paperwork finalised and the adoption donation processed, the pet can be collected from foster care.
5. A 14 day settling-in period commences once the animal has been collected from foster care.
6. Adoption is finalised after 14 days. Paperwork/records will be included in an adoption pack.
7. All animals for adoption are kept up to date with vet work until the date of adoption. The pet will be rehomed desexed, vaccinated, microchipped and treated monthly for fleas and intestinal worms. Once the adoption is finalised, the new owners are responsible for all vaccinations and preventative treatments.
As we are run entirely of volunteers we endeavour to respond to your enquiry as soon as we can. Your patience is greatly appreciated.
PLEASE NOTE: We are unable to hold any animals. Please only apply if you are ready to adopt now.
