Poppy

Meet Poppy, a 2 year old "station bred" Kelpie mix. She loves people, just chilling and watching, or playing fetch or tug-o-war.

Poppy's perfect home would be where she can interact with people as much as possible. She is happy by herself, or with another doggy friend, but her primary focus will be you!

Poppy is a sweet girl who is eager to learn new things, and just wants to please, if you let her she would be quite happy snuggling up to you on the lounge. Poppy loves playing fetch with a tennis ball or stick, and brings it back! Swimming at the beach or river is also pretty good, combine that with fetch and you've got a new best mate!

Poppy came into care with very good manners. She waits patiently for her dinner, knows sit, shake hands, and hi five! She is learning stay, and how to walk nicely on lead; her recall is pretty good too!

Poppy is learning crate training - a valuable skill for any working dog is to learn to do nothing at times. She will sleep in her crate at night, is happy in a dog run during the day (if required). She copes well away from her humans with no anxiety or destruction (she currently has foster siblings to keep her entertained, but mostly she seems to like her crate!) Poppy has not been tested around cats.

Poppy is waiting to find her new best mate, she's the complete package - polite, smart and loyal.
