About Luna - 5 Year Old Dogue de Bordeaux (On Trial)
Meet Luna a red/orange 5 year old Dogue de Bordeaux.
Luna is extremely affectionate and loves to have cuddles with her foster carer. Since coming into care, Luna has learnt to sit for her food and has great recall. Luna is fully toilet trained and currently sleeps through the night inside on a doggy bed in her foster carers bedroom.
Some of Lunas favourite ways to spend day include
Going on W.A.L.K.S – with her tongue out
Sunbaking – with her tongue out
Playing with her humans – with her tongue out
Playing with other dogs – you guessed it… - with her tongue out!
Luna’s forever family will need to have an active lifestyle and understand that she will need exercise and mental stimulation. While she hasn’t had a heap of experience going on W.A.L.K.S she just loves getting out and about. She will require further training on the lead as she can be quite strong and can pull. She is working on this in foster care and her new home will need to have some experience with this and be committed to continuing the training. Like a lot of dogs she can get nervous meeting new people and will take a little time learning to trust people, but when she does…. Oh Boy she is a sweetheart. Luna gets along with most dogs, and would love a home with another dog for company, although would also be ok as an only dog.
As she loves her humans so much, she would need to be welcomed inside when the family is home and be involved in her new family’s life. She is such an easy going doggo, who is great company and she needs and deserves to be part of her families everyday life. As such she benefit with someone that is home most of the time or works part time.
Luna tends to forget she is …on the larger side of life and her ideal home will have older children or ones that bounce if accidently knocked over. (Please be aware of this when adopting her) Luna’s new home will need good fencing that is 6ft tall.
For more information on Luna, please contact her foster carer on their email CameronMcIntosh65@gmail.com. Luna is in foster care in Cardiff, NSW and is available for adoption interstate. Luna's adoption fee is $600 and she is desexed, vaccinated, treated for fleas and worms and microchipped.
