Hello Lovely Humans,

My name is Eli,

I'm only 6 and a half months old. My Mumma is a pure bred German Shepherd, and my Daddy is a pure bred German Wirehair Pointer. I got the human I love and who loves me, to put a picture of them both here too. I look mostly black with tiny spots of white, but, when you look really close there are large parts of my coat that are a dark chocolate brown, I'm a pretty good mix of my Mum and Dad, I weigh around 25kg already, so I might get pretty big. And I'm a super sweet, gentle giant, with a lovely long toungue that's just perfect to give you loads of the best wet kisses you've ever had!

I definitely inherited my Mumma and Daddy's intelligence, and really love learning new things, and getting loads of praise. I'm not really into treats so much, I'll eat them, sometimes, but, if you tell me I'm the goodest boy ever, that's the stuff I really live for!!

I adore you humans!!!!

All people, big and small, the family that I'm with now has 3 kids who are all great to me, and I just want to cover them in loads and loads of wet doggy kisses. Sometimes I do get too excited to meet people and be with people and I don't always realise that I'm not a small baby any more, now I'm a big baby, so I can't be carried or be in people's arms. Which is a bit sad, coz I'd like that alot.

I do get a bit springy and jumpy, the big lady human tells me my waggly butt takes over and my brain disengages.... whatever that means.

She also says I'm going through a phase, apparently it's normal, but humans don't like when dogs try to help with the gardening, or try to bring the clothes in off the line for them, or chew anything thats not bolted down, and even some things that are....
So, I need help learning a few boundaries around the house, and I never quite figured out that whole difference between the grass and the carpet thing. At least, not yet. I know I'll get it soon enough.

I'm pretty good inside, after I demonstrate how excited I am to be so close to my humans, with some huffing, licking, and some big tail wags, I settle pretty quickly, I do like being on the couch, and the bed, but, I'll get down if I'm told. I will walk at "heel" too, sometimes I need to be reminded of where I'm meant to be. I'm crate trained, although I don't always love being there, mostly coz I'd really rather be on your lap, I will go into there when told. "Crate" is the command. The other commands that I'm pretty great with are "sit", "down", which I use to lay down where I am, or get off the furniture, "up", I'll do my very best to get up onto or into whatever you point me to, like the car. If I'm allowed inside, or in the car, or in my crate for a while and then you want me to have a toilet break, you can tell me "toilet" and I'll do my best to go.

I'm still young and learning so much, and really want to learn more. I just want to make my humans happy. I'm really very sweet and have so so much love to give, to everyone!

I do love playing with other dogs, and am really friendly, sometimes I need to remember how big I am, but I just want ALL the friends!

And cats, I like cats, but haven't really been around them much, and don't really know what to do to make them like me too. I know I could learn, I just need a human to teach me, and a cat to be patient and help teach me too. Same for livestock and other animals. I just need my human to help me figure out all the rules of the world.

I'm very vocal. I will tell you how much I wanna play, and how sad I am when you leave me, and how happy I am when you come home, my big lady human calls it whimpering, sometimes I do bark about these things too, but if you tell me "quiet". I try really hard to listen, and make less fuss. I just need you humans to know how deeply I adore you all. I just want to be with you, all the time.

Maybe a house with another dog to play with would help me not miss my humans so much, and keep me occupied so I'm less inclined to try and help with the laundry, and the gardening..... I don't know.

The family I'm with now love me so so much, and I have seen how sad they are to say goodbye, they only want the best for me and are desperate for me to get all the love I deserve. The big lady human said she'll let me keep my toys, my blankies, crate, and bowl and make sure I have my favourite food too.

I'm looking for a forever home, with lots of love, patience and maybe someone who can give me some work, I actually rather love being given a task and learing new things, so humans who can keep my mind engaged as well as my body would be perfect!!
I love a firm, and fair and settled human. They're my favourite, because they help me to feel calm and safe and I don't get quite so anxious. Rules and boundaries are great, I just need help to learn them.

Please, can someone help me find my perfect, forever, new home, with some incredible humans??
