Loki’s heart is just as big as his size. He is a beautiful, gentle boy with a sensitive side.

November 2022 Loki was handed into Socares after being found injured in the Watagan Mountains. He was in pain and very confused. After he recovered from this ordeal, Loki opened to us and became a different boy and we got to see his lovely true nature.

Loki has come a long way from the very scared and nervous boy from when he first arrived. To those he knows, Loki is very sweet, wanting lots of pats and belly rubs. When he meets new people he can be a little hesitant initially but with the offer of a treat you are able to win this gorgeous boys trust in no time.

Type of household: Loki will need to be given time to adjust to his new family and home environment. He would be a perfect companion for an experienced large breed owner or even better, Wolfhound experienced. He requires some further lead training as he has a tendency to pull and is best suited to a household with older children.

Other Pets: Loki happily participates in our pack dog walks and coexists with other canines next to him in our outdoor runs. When meeting new dogs, Loki requires a slow, controlled introduction so he does not become overwhelmed. We believe matched with an appropriate canine friend, Loki could be rehomed with another buddy.

When Loki met some cats he was quite happy to walk around saying hello to them on a lose lead. When one of the cats swiped at him his first reaction was to drop to the ground. Loki’s hackles did come up. After a few seconds he stood up and backed away and didn’t want to go near the cat again. Loki was more than happy to walk away and out of the cattery door.

Loki's adoption fee covers: microchipping, desexing, lifetime registration, current vaccination, flea and worming treatments.

This boy has been through enough turmoil in his short life. Loki’s next home needs to be his last. Therefore we are looking for a committed, patient family who will love him forever.
