ALERT, REALLY SWEET BOY

Pictures really don’t do this precious boy justice, but if you’re looking for a genuinely beautiful natured bork who just wants love, attention and a forever home – look no further. Jag is an incredibly beautiful boy, with a really gentle nature. He’s great with people, loves interacting with dogs and enjoys walks. Jag is looking for a companion or family that has plenty of time to give him scratches and love.

Favorite things

Jags favorite things vary from belly scratches to cuddles and meeting other dogs.

He is a loving sweet boy who enjoys a juicy bone while his family are at work and lazing around in the yard on his couch. He loves spending time with his family inside and did I say belly rubs ……

He does occasionally love a zoomie around the yard but generally a relaxed laid back kinda guy

Interaction with humans

Jag absolutely loves people. There’s never been an issue with any interaction he’s had with anyone, he just wants to be loved. We haven’t seen him amongst children but believe there will be no problem here under supervision, the only concern would be sometimes he doesn’t realize how big he is.

Obedience / training

Currently, Jag can sit and wait. His recall needs improvement as he’s still learning his name. A harness is definitely preferable during walks, as he loves to wander while walking and initially pulls for the first few minutes. He doesn’t get all that distracted when walking by others, he typically just wants a sniff and then moves on. Jag has also been great when traveling in the car. Sometimes he does need a little bit of encouragement to get in, but once he’s in there he’s very comfortable.

Animal social skills

There has been absolutely zero aggression to other furry friends. He gives off a playful vibe when walking by other dogs, and there’s never been any aggression towards anyone we’ve gone past. Off lead, Jag interacts great with our family dog. He sleeps beside them, runs around with him and loves stealing away all his attention. He has also been great at fenced off dog parks.

We haven't seen an aggressive bone in his body towards other dogs even when they are trying to herd hm in play lol

Food

Currently Jag is eating a combination of Prime meat rolls and premium #Savourlife dry food He is absolutely not a fussy eater. He’s a bit of a slobber head, so look out for the splash-zone while he’s eating or drinking. He loves a cheeky treat throughout the day.

Independence

Jag has been really low maintenance when left alone. He doesn’t necessarily need all that much space, as he’s pretty content sunbaking when the weather is nice or curls up somewhere warm when it’s colder. Seeing him with the family dog has really showcased how good it would be for him to have a furry companion, as he’s just generally a lot happier and more playful when he has someone to play with.

Bathing and hygiene

Jag’s got no issue at all with bathing or water. He sits still when being washed with the hose and doesn’t complain at all. We remained very gentle with him during the bathing process and didn’t have any problems.

Sleeping

Jag isn’t bothered at all where he sleeps. He has been quite comfortable in his kennel or on the outdoor couch. As long as there is shelter, he will sleep anywhere.

Exercise

Jag has fairly low energy levels. When hyped up, he will love to run around for a good few minutes before exhausting himself, and then he expects some belly scratches to help recharge. We have been walking him for around 25 minutes a day. And that's perfectly fine for him.

Inside the home

Jag is very suited and happy being an outside dog. His favorite spot has been on our outdoor couch, which has very quickly become his bed. We’re fairly confident he isn’t at all toilet trained, as even outside he’ll go wherever he feels like. However, being young and switched on, some training would do the trick.

Ideal home

Jag is a definite one in a million kinda a boy who deserves a wonderful home

A good size yard with shade and shelter and secure fencing

If another dog in residence we would be seeking a med to large female who is desexed and well socialized ( Well socialized means your dog can interact with unknown dogs

A home that can talk him for a daily stroll

A home with kids would be fine but we seek dog savvy mature children
