About Teddy - 12 Week Old Lab x(On Trial 17/12/22)
Meet Teddy, he’s a 12-week-old black Labrador Retriever X with soulful eyes and lots of love to give. This confident boy enjoys exploring the world around him, rough-housing with his brother, and stretching out for a good nap as close to his foster carer as possible.
He is a sweet, intelligent boy and since coming into care he has been working on short walks on his harness, answering to his name, sit and come commands. He loves to play tug of war, fetch, and spend time working out his treat toy. He is close to toilet trained and has only had a few accidents since arriving in care. He currently sleeps well with his brother in his crate, inside, during the night. As he is a puppy and full of energy he is still working on his patience and can get over-excited, jump, mouth and play nip at times. His foster carer is working on this, and his training will need to be continued in his new home.
Teddy will grow into a larger dog, around 36-40kg. His ideal family will be home more often than not, understand that he needs regular exercise, mental stimulation, ongoing puppy training and socialisation. As he is not fully vaccinated he has not been tested with other dogs but is excited and curious to meet some! Because he is prone to jumping and play-biting he will need a home with children 10 or older who are confident with dogs. Teddy’s new home will need good fencing that is 6ft tall with no small gaps. Unfortunately, rural fencing (eg: mesh or wire) is not suitable.)
For more information on Teddy, please contact his foster carer on their email coalpointpups.drn@gmail.com. Teddy is in foster care in Coal Point, NSW. Teddy’s adoption fee is $700. As Teddy is not yet desexed, he is only available for adoption to Newcastle, Lake Macquarie, Central Coast and Port Stephens because he will need to be returned to a DRN approved vet for desexing when he is approximately 5/6 months old. Please NO out of area applications.
