About Bellarossa
Where to start with Bellarossa? Bella is such a wonderful kitty with such an enormous and wonderful personality it's hard to know where to start!
Bella came into care in a really rough state, found on the street in a critical condition. I took her in and thus began her journey to the incredible, loving firecracker she is. This wonderful girl will forever be the size of a kitten, but they say the best things come in small packages.
From day one, even while sick, nothing would slow her down from playing and loving on her people. Nothing fazes Bellarossa, ever. The whole world is her oyster and she'll take it by storm and with exuberant positivity.
Bella is crazy affectionate and loves love. She absolutely adores playing any time of the day. She even plays fetch with her favourite fishy toys!
Bella loves all other animals she's met and is incredibly affectionate. She might play a little rough at time, but smooths it over with a great grooming session.
Bella's only real behavioural part of note is she loves to hunt. It's great fun to her. This, unfortunately, means she needs to be an indoor cat unless supervised. Thankfully she has been a very content indoor cat.
Medical notes
Bellarossa was found in a critical condition and spent time in intensive supportive care. She was found to have had a large polyp in her nasal cavity, making breathing and eating challenging and causing stunted growth. It also caused a minor sustained bacterial infection.
Bella never let that hold her back and was still a ray of sunshine during this time.
Once Bella was healthy enough she underwent treatment and had the polyp removed, pretty much instantly providing relief and ending ongoing problems.
Bella did then prove to have a sensitive stomach, though it has calmed and she is very happy on a dry food diet.
