About Tuffy
Please only apply for this greyhound if you have:
- Grassed backyard for her zoomies
- Quiet family with kids 8 years or older
- A family situation where people are home more often than not
- Ideally a doggie companion to keep her company
Tuffy is truly a sweetheart with lots of love to give. She just loves to come and lean you when she wants a pat. She has beautiful brown eyes that demand more pats!! She also loves playing with plush toys and doing a zoom when her people get home. So, Tuffy would be best suited to a home with at least a grassed yard.
Based on her current foster home she would ideally suit some who works from home or part time. Tuffy is currently living with a Kelpie and would enjoy a home with another doggy companion to continue teaching her how to be a pet. She reacts well to other dogs and will typically ignore them. She has met many other dog breeds and had no issues.
Tuffy enjoys her daily walks, and she walks very well on her lead by herself or out with her doggy companion. Sometimes noisy trucks or buses may scare her, so she would be best out of the inner city, although she is fine to accompany you to quieter cafes.
Tuffy can be shy with new people and prefers quieter environments and so would be best suited to a family with older children. She loves her food and has shown she is very easy to train. She travels well in the car and will lay down and have a snooze while in the car, however she does need some help to get in, this may be a confidence thing that will be better in time.
[Note: Under Victorian Law greyhounds must be on-leash at all times in public areas, including in off-leash parks or ovals]
