About Ivy and Isildur
Ivy and Isildur
Ivy is a 10 week old black and white short hair female. She is 90% black with some white markings on her belly and paws. Isildur, her brother, is a little bigger. He is 60% black and 40% white and has a cute moustache. We were relieved when we found out he was a boy.
They were weaned too early but they were put back on milk for a time after they came into care. Very little is known about their life before 3.5 weeks. They are now both very healthy.
Ivy is a very quirky and affectionate kitten, always up for a snuggle and has been known to run up her human’s leg looking for attention. One eye may be a little offset which makes her even cuter and more irresistible. She says, “It’s a feature, not a bug!” Ivy was more interested in milk than her siblings and still enjoys the occasional bowl.
Isildur was the heaviest of the 4 siblings and the only male. He is also a very dignified and friendly kitten. He often has a look on his face that says Wow! He has been matched with his little sister because he always takes a brotherly interest in her and enjoys having a wrestle with her. They are well matched, and we would prefer they find their forever family as a bonded pair. Isildur sometimes takes a great interest in television.
Both Isildur, slayer of Sauron in the second age of MiddleEarth, and Ivy, named after Ivy Goodenough, a hobbit, were given names at their own request after Tolkien characters. They prefer the extended versions of the Lord of the Rings films and would appreciate if you facilitate their viewing of the trilogy on Christmas Day, a custom they would like to establish and continue all their days. Also they think the Hobbit films are awful.
