ABOUT Bruno

Is there such a thing as a chill foxy? YES! Miniature Fox Terriers usually have such energy. If most foxies are like Maverick in Top Gun; Bruno is like Goose - a little more relaxed than most, even though he is still young. Bruno doesn't bark or exhibit separation anxiety except for a little whining on his first day settling in. He is quite active and would love to have plenty of space to run around. He loves to jump and play. He has learned to sit for food, responds well to commands and training and rides in the car like a champion. He is happy to amuse himself in the yard and has grown up sleeping outside on a veranda. Since coming into care he has learned how to sleep inside in a crate. He is good with older children (5yo and older). In his current home there is an 9yo and 10yo which he gets along great with. Bruno is a fabulous little all-rounder.

It is recommended that Bruno be adopted by a family. Bruno's happy nature is brought out in a family where older children will roughhouse and play with him. He is gentle and not too high energy.

Bruno has shown aggression toward adult males, perhaps due to his history, and may not be suited to a single owner or couple where a male owner may inadvertently intimidate him. He has not shown any of those aggressive tendencies towards females or children and will tend to fawn and be a generally loving little pet.

BEHAVIOUR NOTES

Has had some bad experiences with men and if feels unsafe/unsure can show signs of aggression.
Should be monitored when meeting new dogs/pets as can be selective.
If grows close to a family member can shows signs of protectiveness over them.
Best suited as an only pet and in a household with children 5yo and older
Mini Fox Terriers are a high energy breed and need daily stimulation.
