Hank is a 9 month old, male, black and white Border Collie. Hank entered our care after it was discovered, working farm life was not suited to him and he had little natural ability. Upon entering care it was very quickly evident, why this was the case.
Hank is an absolute snuggle bug with so much love to give.
Hank adores cuddles, pats and belly rubs. He is at his happiest when someone sits on the ground and he can snuggle on in.
Hank is dog friendly and has been around working dogs his whole life and is currently in care with another male border collie. Hank loves to run and play with other dogs and thoroughly seems to enjoy canine company. Hank is not too familiar with toys, but is learning what fun they can be.

Given Hank has spent majority of his life on a farm, he will require time, support and guidance to adjust to pet life and experiencing things for the first time.

Hank responds well to treat training and knows basic commands. Hank is great to walk on leash, but will require a human who can look out for him and look out for things that have the potential to startle him.

Hank is enjoying the company of his care families children. He will snuggle on any lap, the size does not matter. He enjoys following the children around the garden. Hank would be best suited to a family with children 6+, who can be part of the learning journey for Hank, and not startle him with loud sounds / sudden movements.

Hank is such a sweet, old soul, who will make an incredible family pet. Ideally Hank would love to join a family with another canine who can help keep him company and also mentally and physically stimulated.
