Adoption information
I've been adopted!
About Reggie (was Toto)
Toto has a feeling that she 'isn't in Kansas anymore' after coming to Second Chance to have a brand new start.
Toto is looking for a home without any young children after a bad experience in her first home. She can be a little timid when first meeting new people because of this, however she has already gained her confidence in foster care and will continue to do so in the right home.
Toto is dog friendly and would love a confident, sociable adult dog to help teach her to be a resilient adult. Potential adopters will need to bring their dog in for a meet at the shelter to make sure it will be a good match. She's very playful and still only little so will need a dog that likes to play as well.
Toto will need ongoing training to teach her some foundation skills. Her toilet training is going well but potential adopters will need to continue teaching her using positive reinforcement training only.
Toto is a typical terrier with a high toy drive, a big personality and a very sweet nature. She's a timid little one until she comfortable then she is zooming around, playing with her toys and being her friendly self. Best to have no cats or pocket pets as she does have terrier instincts.
Toto's adoption fee will cover an in person training session here at the shelter for her new family to set everyone up for success.
Please note: Toto does have some mild luxating patella's. It is very common for small breed dogs and does not require any medical intervention at this point.
Get in quick because for Toto there's no place like home; there's no place like home; there's no place like home...
LOCATION: FOSTER CARE **Application Process** If you are interested in this pet and ready to adopt now, please send in an application to the SCAR Adoption Team. On the Pet Rescue profile, push the "Enquire About This Pet" button. Follow the prompts to "send enquiry now" and in the message section please tell us all about you and your home. Ensure you tell us about anything specific that you feel makes you a great match for this particular pet, or if you have specific requirements for a pet coming in to your home. The information you provide helps us to start a conversation with potential adopters, and find a great match for pets in our care. Please note the following: We do not take applications for animals over the phone, as we are a small team and are trying our best to be fair to all applicants while creating the best outcomes for our animals. We aim to reply to all applications within 5 business days, and will confirm with all applicants once we have an adoption meet booked for the animal. All of our meet and greets occur at the adoption center in Craigieburn, and all going well you will take home your pet on the day of the meet. The majority of our animals are in a foster home, not at the shelter, so you need to apply via the website to meet them. Thank you! www.secondchanceanimalrescue.com.au ... because they all deserve one!
