About Sad Boy
Sad Boy is called that because when he came to us, he was so sad and defeated. He'd obviously been someone's loved kitten but had been abandoned and suffered terribly, left with horrible wounds and FIV+. The first night in foster he pushed his head into the hand of his carer and begged to loved again. We couldn't say no, just because he looked like he'd been through the wars.
So Sad Boy is now happier boy, he's had all his wounds cleaned and stitched up, he's had his teeth cleaned and broken ones removed, he's been desexed, he's eaten everything put in front of him and is now a glossy fluffy healthy tabby boy with the head of a boxer that's been in too many fights. We think it adds character!
Sad Boy is very strong and desperately wants to be an inside cat again. Currently he's a little too rambunctious with the other cats and is in the cat run, but comes in for cuddles and loves his lap time. He drools with joy, bring tissues. His immune system is clearing up nicely and he only sometimes has watery eyes.
Sad Boy needs someone who's experienced with street cats or is willing to learn really fast. He's got a world of love to give, but still has trauma from years on the streets. His foster carer got between him and a cat he was fighting with food over, and got a nasty bite for their troubles. Lesson learnt! Not doing that again.
Sad Boy has got the manners of a pushy bruiser but he's already learnt self restraint and understands the word no. Doesn't like it much but knows it's 'no'. Lots of positive reinforcement training will turn this strutting tomcat into a quivering puddle of joy... are you the human up to turn Sad Boy in Happy Lad? Submit an application now and find out!
Sad Boy is a healthy raw/high quality vet food fed cat who has been wormed, flea treated, vaccinated, desexed and microchipped (microchip #956000014965024, source #RE101165). He is available for adoption right now!
