ABOUT
Lena is a gorgeous calico, a little bit cheeky, a little bit sassy, and all sweet. Lena is a confident girl in her home and knows what she wants. She’s never far from the action and is always up for a sticky beak when visitors are over, though often prefers to relax and watch just to the side rather than be the center of attention of strangers. Lena is often a quiet but insistent presence in her foster home, she might not MEOW in your face and demand cuddles, but she’ll quietly pop up beside you on the lounge, and give a little ‘tap tap’ to your arm asking you to make your lap available for her to slowly climb in and settle down to purr (and drool!) in happiness as she soaks up your warmth, I mean love. Lena is a cat that knows what she likes and doesn’t like to be rushed or forced. She’ll voice her complaints when picked up and will often dart off if you try to hurry her progress into your lap by scooting her over - don’t worry, she’s usually back in less than 5 minutes to try and get into your lap again, this time by herself.
Lena is nearly always on her carer’s bed at night (and has even been known to snuggle under the blanket in winter) and happily shares it with a resident cat. Though while she makes friends and loves playing and zooming about with her kitty friends, Lena usually needs a little time to warm up to new cats and likes her personal space respected. She shows this clearly in her foster home when they have litters of foster kittens. When there aren’t kittens about, She’s much more prominent in asking for cuddles and joining her carers on the lounge. However when foster kittens are about, as babies they often have little to no regard for personal space or respect for their seniors and tend to crowd and monopolise their carers lounge time. When this happens Lena feels crowded out and doesn’t compete for cuddles, however when she finds a kitten free spot with her carers she’s there for cuddles.
Lena loves her Zomies through the house, and is particularly small ball toys she can carry around and announce to the house at large to ‘look what i have!’.
Lena’s content to share space and the lounge with the resident large dog but steers clear of it when it’s boisterous. Lena’s met minimal children, but if they have gentle hands and respect her personal space when she wants she should be fine with children.
