About Ivy 🐶 7yo, Foxhound (On Trial 26/12/22)
Ivy is darling 7yo, Foxhound (like a beagle but with longer legs). She's a sweet and undemanding companion. She loves walks, food dispensing toys, and other dogs.
Ivy walks very nicely on a harness and lead and looks forward to going for a daily walk. She trots along with her nose down enjoying all the scents. You can use a long, 10m lead to give her some freedom to run and sniff. She likes to have a grassy yard, so she's not suited to apartment living.
🐶🐶 Ivy loves other dogs and has always lived with at least one other dog so she needs a home with a canine friend of any size. She hasn’t been tested with cats. She is good in the car 🚗.
She can be a little bit shy when she meets strangers but if they are calm and don't rush her, she quickly wants to be their friend. Ivy is initially more comfortable with women than men, but she can get used to a man who is gentle and lets her come to them.
💝 Ivy loves to be inside with you but is happy outside when you’re not home. She is housetrained.
Ivy is medium sized, standing about knee-high to an adult person. She has soft, velvety ears, a waggy tail and a short, easy-care coat.
Ivy is good with children but due to her shy nature she wouldn’t enjoy a busy household with children under 12. She’s fine with small visitors though if they are old enough to leave her alone.
✅We are looking for a forever home for Ivy with another dog and gentle people who will take her for a daily walk and let her inside. 🌺
Ivy is in foster care in Argenton, NSW (Lake Macquarie, south of Newcastle). ⭐️ She is only available for adoption within NSW and ACT. Her adoption fee is $450 and she is desexed, vaccinated, treated for fleas, worms, vet checked, and microchipped.
