Ferdinand and Webby

Age: Approximately 4 years

Breed: Muscovy ducks

Background: Ferdinand (male, brown) and Webby (female, white) are a lovely, bonded pair who were surrendered to Forever Friends by their previous owners. Unfortunately, they were no longer able to care for their feathered friends and were all out of rehoming options. FFAR couldn't let Ferdinand and Webby meet an unspeakable fate and gladly accepted them into our foster care system. Upon arrival they were a bit scruffy and sad looking but have now begun to blossom! This is all thanks to your support Carolyn. They now receive a regular high-quality diet, and a new pump has been installed to keep their pond clean and healthy.

Foster home: Ferdinand and Webby have landed on their little webbed feet as they are being fostered at the FFAR Sanctuary in the Yarra Valley. They share their secure and spacious pen, equipped with personal pond, with two other ducks and a rooster called Prince Liam! They like to tell their foster carer off with lots of clucking and complaining if she's late with their food.

Ideal home: This ducky duo requires a fox-secure area to sunbake in, a lovely freshwater pond to tread water and a lockable safe pen at night to rest their weary beaks after long days of doing not much at all!
