About Max
Meet Max!
Max is a male Wolfhound x who is estimated to be almost three years old.
Max came into care a little nervous bit has shown us his absolutely beautiful personality and nature over the past few weeks hes been in care!
Sweet Max loves people! He would do anything for his humans and just wants to be with you and have your attention. Max really loves playing fetch and he enjoys walks and walks very well on a lead. Max can get a little excited and jump up on people at times but is getting a lot better at listening to commands and is responding very well to some basic training here at SMART. Max has shown to be pretty good with the other dogs here at but can get a little excited and bark at them at times. He has shown zero interest in the resident cats here at the facility.
Although we cannot guarantee it, Max is very tidy in his kennel and prefers to toilet outside so he may possibly be house trained. We have also observed that Max can jump quite high so a yard with tall secure fencing will be required to ensure his safety.
Max has been desexed, microchipped, vaccinated, worm and flea treated and vet checked. His adoption fee is $600.00.
If you think this lovely boy is the perfect companion, please send us an adoption application

Adoption details
Our adoption process is easy. You will receive a application for the animals you are interested in. Please full that in and send it back to us.
Even though you may be first to message, this does not always guarantee you will be chosen to adopt. By no means do we run on a "first in, first served basis". We aim to ensure that our animals are adopted into the most suitable home for them and the new family.
With all our animals, we go on what our vet has told us and what we believe the breed and age to be. We never guarantee the breed or age but take the best educated guess.
Please note: Our shelter is located in the Snowy Mountains. We are a 5 hour drive from Sydney and Melbourne and 2 to 3 hours from Canberra.
