About Birdie - 10 Week Old Kelpie X(On Hold 14/12/22)
Sweet and shy Birdie the 10 week old female Kelpie x is looking for a forever home to feel safe and show her full personality.
Gentle and loving Birdie loves to be near you whenever she can, presenting her tummy for endless pats and attention.
Birdie is the perfect mix of being your active adventure buddy and your cuddly couch companion. Her current foster playmate in care has too much energy for her so if she was to go to a house with another dog they would need that balance as well. She would absolutely have the capacity to handle all the solo attention that comes from being an only dog as long as the typical kelpie enrichment is catered for.
Birdie is at a critical age to absorb all the right training and and socialisation so preference will be given to applicants that have puppy training experience or a commitment to puppy class. This commitment will allow Birdie to really enjoy the outside world past her yard with confidence and enjoyment. She loves food so which will help her be responsive to training and desensitising .
She sleeps all through the night inside the house in her crate with no accidents so would love a home where she is allowed inside and outside so she feels like part of the family.
Birdie is currently living with 2 young dog savvy children and she loves their attention so a home with gentle hands who understand the typical puppy behaviours will be considered. Birdie has not been tested with cats or pocket pets.
