About Pepper
Hi my name is Pepper and I’m the sweetest gal you’ll ever meet!
I’m only 4 years old but I’ve had a rough start to life. When I arrived at my foster home I had pressure sores on my elbows, mammary tumours, and old scars on my body. I had never been to a vet before! I had to have lots of vet visits and multiple procedures. Then my foster mum noticed that I was drinking lots of water, urinating a lot, losing weight and also losing my vision. I was diagnosed with diabetes and it caused me to go blind.
Project Underdog Rescue came along to help me, and with the help of their amazing donors I had cataract surgery and now I can see again!
My foster mums say I am a kind and gentle soul, with a bit of a goofy streak. They say I’m more of a big cat than a dog! I have so much love to give you and love to cuddle. Every day I am becoming more and more confident, and coming out of my shell - especially now that I have my vision back!
I am looking for someone who has an understanding of diabetes and will follow a management plan to help me live my best life and keep me healthy. I don’t really like being left alone but I am getting better at it. I would be ok to live with a cat (I currently live with 3 of them!) and could also live with children older than 12 years.
Could you be my forever home?
