About Shelby (Lucy)
Little Lucy...
This stunning pup is not only a good looker, but she is super loving and just wants to share that around with EVERYONE and EVERYTHING.
Lucy has been well socialised with dogs of varying sizes. She is currently hanging out with another puppy around her age while she waits for her furever family.
Ideally she would be best going to a home with another dog so she can grow and learn from the other dog, but if you don't have another dog then it is important that you have Lucy around your friends and family dogs.
We would also recommend Lucy goes to a puppy school where you can both learn some training together but she can also socialise around other dogs.
Kids over the age of 8 years would be ideal, this way the kids can be included in the training with Lucy and they can grow up being best friends... The kind of best friends that you see in movies where the dog waits at the bus stop for the kids to get off the bus then walks the rest of the way home...
Lucy is adorable and will make your heart melt when you meet her.
To book a meet and greet with Lucy please phone 5441-2209 or email barcreception@bendigo.vic.gov.au . Due to the high volume of emails received, enquiries with a request for a specific appointment with phone details included will receive a response as priority over generic applications which state they are interested in meeting an animal.

Adoption details
BARC adoption officers will work with you to help you find a dog or cat that matches your needs, they will discuss things like yard fencing, exercise requirements, other pets and family members, lifestyle factors, and breed experience. To help make this as quick and easy as possible, we ask you complete and adoption questionnaire (located on our website, or you can complete on when you visit). This helps ensure that we are introducing you to the most suitable animals we have available.
We encourage all members of the household to attend a meet and greet with a pet prior to adopting an animal. If the animal being adopted is a dog, we will also require existing dogs in the household to attend the shelter as part of the meet and greet.
Holds can not be placed on animals over the phone, and can only be applied at the discretion of management.
